The Museum Marketing Roundtable announces the fifth annual ‘Museums Free-For-All’ Saturday-Sunday, October 3 and 4, 2009. The following twenty-two museums—presenting art, cultural heritage, natural history, and science—will open their doors and invite visitors free of charge for general admission.  This is a great way for parents and kids alike to enjoy the rich art and historical assets that are available in Los Angeles and Orange County.

Toy “R” Us is running a program called the Great Trade-in Event which is similar to the cash for clunkers for cars. You bring in any old Stroller, Car Seat, High Chair, Playard, Bassinets, Crib or travel system and get 20% discount on the new item. The offer is for limited time from August 28, 2009 to September 20, 2009.

The following are the select brands that can be returned during this offer:

Babi Italia, Baby Caché, Baby Trend, Bertini, Britax, Chicco, Contours by Kolcraft, Cosco, Delta, Eddie Bauer, Evenflo, Graco, Jeep, Natures Purest by Summer Infant, Safety 1st, and Sorelle.

This is triggered by two factors, product recalls and the fact that items above may not be the best candidates to be passed on or resold due to safety concerns.

Discount Tickets to Southern California Theme Parks

If you live in the Southern California area, you can not escape taking your kids to great theme parks in and around it. And why not, kids have so much fun at these theme parks and it’s a great day out for the entire family. But tickets for the theme parks can be expensive. But here is something we found that’s great!, if you plan your trip ahead of time (a couple of weeks), you can take advantage of the discount tickets available in some areas.

At the Maguire property on 611 Brand Blvd, Glendale, CA you can buy tickets to most of the theme parks for cheap. Below are some of the tickets that you can buy there. The ticket sales are generally every Thursday between 3:00pm – 5:30pm.

Kids Eat Free at iHop

Kids love to eat outside and have fun. Now, parents can save some money along with that during the iHop Kids Eat Free promotion everyday!

The Kids eat free promotion is available for a limited time from August 17 to September 13 between 4pm to 10pm. Every family will get a free kids meal with a purchase of a regular entrée. It’s valid for kids under the age of 12 and you can choose from the “Just for Kids” menu at iHop.
